case study — xpendy

a webflow enterprise build with custom integrations

Xpendy is an international online service that helps consumers cancel subscriptions and contracts through a simple, guided process.

I developed the new website in Webflow Enterprise, combining multilingual content, custom search functionality, advanced forms and payment integrations within a scalable architecture.

Xpendy's international website is being migrated to Webflow Enterprise in stages, allowing individual countries to go live independently while the remaining markets continue operating on the legacy platform.

the challenge

Xpendy operates internationally, with country-specific content, pricing and payment requirements. The website also plays an important role in the customer journey, from finding a subscription to completing a cancellation request.

The challenge was to rebuild this experience in Webflow while connecting it to Xpendy's existing backend services and maintaining the functionality required for its daily operations.

An additional requirement was maintaining uninterrupted access to the existing country websites throughout the migration.

what i built

multilingual architecture

Developed a localized Webflow structure supporting country-specific content, URLs, currencies and customer journeys, with additional markets planned for migration.

payment integration

Integrated Adyen and PayPal with Xpendy's existing backend, supporting country-specific payment flows, currencies and transaction handling.

advanced Forms

Built a guided cancellation process with dynamic form fields, customer information handling and integration with the order and payment systems.

custom search

Developed custom search and filtering functionality to help visitors find the right subscription or service and continue directly into the cancellation process.

performance optimization

Focused on loading performance, efficient resource handling and responsive behavior across the website's content and transactional pages.

platform integration

Implemented a setup in which Webflow and the legacy platform operate under the same domain, allowing countries to migrate independently without disrupting the remaining markets.

how it was built

01

architecture

Established the Webflow structure around reusable components, localized content and the requirements of Xpendy's existing backend systems.

02

integration

Connected the website to the order and payment systems, implementing custom functionality for customer forms, transactions and search.

03

optimization

Refined the frontend implementation with attention to loading performance, usability and consistent behavior across devices.

04

rollout

Prepared and deployed the country-specific websites in stages, ensuring Webflow could operate alongside the legacy platform throughout the migration.

the outcome

a controlled rollout

The first country websites are now running on Webflow Enterprise, with localized content, custom search, guided cancellation forms and integrated payment functionality.

A reverse proxy structure allows Webflow to operate alongside Xpendy's existing platform, providing the foundation for a gradual migration of additional countries.

The result combines Webflow's content management capabilities with custom frontend development and existing backend services, supporting a complex customer journey within a maintainable website.
